Charting Connecticut Data Sharing Agreements. Office of the Cabinet (Posted 3.09) With this March 2009 posting, the Office of the Cabinet implements a key recommendation of the Public Consulting Group for cross-agency and general public access to state-level data sharing agreements. More than 60 such agreements were found by the Public Consulting Group in an inventory conducted in SFY 08.
CT Data Sharing Agreements: Memorandum of Understanding between SDE and DOL (Posted 3.09.09) The purpose of this agreement is to designate the Department of Labor (DOL) as an “authorized representative” of the State Department of Education under FERPA. This agreement allows DOL to: (a) obtain and report information on the placement and retention of students in employment as required under Section 212 of the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act; and (b) produce summary information and reports for assessing accomplishments of CT’s workforce development system under the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.
CT Early Childhood Data Development Expansion Items, Proposed Reductions and Federal Stimulus Funding. Office of the Cabinet (Posted 3.9.09) This March 2009 report summarizes data development, interoperability and reporting items included in Cabinet fiscal reports over the fall of 2008. This information will be useful as CT applies for 2009 competitive federal stimulus funds for data development and accountability

Information is taken from the Early Childhood Education Cabinet’s Status Report on Accountability.
CT Early Childhood Data Systems: Summary of Challenges as of July 2008. Office of the Cabinet. (Posted 3.09) This March 2009 report summarizes findings from a 2008 series of CT data development studies conducted by the Public Consulting Group for the Early Childhood Education Cabinet over SFY 08. This information will be useful as CT applies for 2009 competitive federal stimulus funds for data development and accountability.
CT Project LAUNCH Memorandum of Agreement. Office of the Cabinet. (Posted 3.09.09) This memorandum of agreement between Cabinet state agencies was adopted in June 2008 as part of Connecticut’s application for federal SAMHSA funds for Project LAUNCH, a state-local partnership to establish a comprehensive B-8 child wellness system.
Data Flow Analysis: Early Childhood State Agencies. Public Consulting Group (Appendix C). (Posted 3.09) This July 2008 draft report provides a graphic display of the structures and processes by which data flows across key CT state agencies serving young children.
The Next Step: Using Longitudinal Data Systems to Improve Student Success. Data Quality Campaign (Posted 3.09) This report – released at a national DCQ event in Washington on March 10th -- highlights early childhood data work in Connecticut and other states. The Office of the Cabinet has been engaged in a series of conversations about a formal partnership with DCG as it expands into the early childhood data arena.
